French style gardens, art galleries and famous Cafés in the 6th arrondissement
It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful gardens in Paris where it is hard to find a green chair to rest (When there is a ray of sunshine…) From the pool with model sailing boats you can admire the Italian style palace built by Marie de Medicis in the 17th century. It is now housing the Senate.
We’ll then be heading towards St Germain des Prés with its nice galleries and famous cafés (Café de Flore and Deux Magots), the former haunts of the Existentialists. on our way we’ll pass beautiful 17th and 18th century Hôtels Particuliers. We’ll sneak into a courtyard with little houses and the historical café Procope : Cour du commerce St André. We will catch a glimpse of the lovely Cour de Rohan (Will the gates be open?)
Along the Rue de Buci, we’ll end our walk at the tiny charming Place de Furstenberg, fragrant with flowers in spring.
